On March 12, 2010, Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/e64401/world_unified_comm) announced a new research report that "provides an analysis of drivers, restraints and trends in the world unified communications markets. It discusses competitor strategies and business models and provides profiles of selected vendors. Further, it offers a market size estimate and forecasts in terms of installed fully integrated UC users and annual UC client license shipments. Finally, it provides some strategic recommendations to vendors, channel partners and end users." The report further states that "more companies are looking at virtualization and SIP trunking as deployment options for communications, including UC."
From your perspective, will SIP trunking be subsumed by Unified Communication or Cloud Communication, or will SIP trunking remain a stand-alone or "ala carte" service over the next one to three years?
